The electric water heater directly heats the water by electricity, while air source water heater does not need electric heating element to directly contact the water, but transfers heat through media (refrigerant), the refrigerant in the evaporator absorbs the low-temperature heat in the air, transfers it into high-temperature heat energy through compression of the compressor, then the refrigerant releases heat and heats the water, then the liquid refrigerant returns to the beginning through decompression of the expansion valve, moving in circles. Thus, what is mainly consumed in this process is the energy in the air, and it only needs to consume electricity when the compressor works. To produce the same amount of hot water, the air source water heater consumes 1/4 of the electricity consumed by the electric water heater, which is energy-saving and safe. The electric water heater is installed in the bathroom, staying in humid environment for long, which makes it easy to be damaged or leak electricity. completion of drilling the first directional well in Yaerxia Block of Petro China Yumen Oilfield
On September 23, the Company smoothly completed the drilling of Ya 6-12 well in Yaerxia Block of Yumen Oilfield. As a directional well under general contracting requiring fast construction, the well is designed to be 3,500m deep with the second section of 8,00m to 2,700m. The construction period is designed to be 15 days. Fast and vertical drilling is required. According to the requirements of Party A, the construction personnel of the Company on the site overcame various difficulties, like complex stratum structure, big dip angle and poor drillability of stratum on the premise of optimizing drill assembly, rationally choosing screw drills, configuring rational drilling parameters in combination with the actual situation underground, and elaborately using underground measurement while drilling (MWD) instruments.
With a maximum deflection of 1.1° and maximum dogleg angle of 0.98°/30m, this well presents good indicators. We used 7LZ172*7.0 screw drill made by the Company throughout the process. Thanks to the characteristics of high torque at slow speed, strong overload resistance as well as fast and stable drilling, the drilling tool is highly recognized by customers and is extensively promoted and used in this area. The personnel of the Company for drilling orientation met challenges, made painstaking and surmounted weak network and communication signals in spite of large temperature difference between days and nights and severe desert environment. On the premise of zero failure of screw instruments, the construction tasks of this phase were completed smoothly in 12 days, saving three days.
The whole trajectory control process is steadily advanced as per customer’s operation requirements. The construction tasks are completed efficiently, shortening the drilling period.build a model image for improving the well drilling speed in this block, with an unanimous praise from Party A and the construction drilling crew. Normal mud motor construction consists of a top sub, which connects the mud motor to the drill string; the power section, which consists of the rotor and stator; the transmission section, where the eccentric power from the rotor is transmitted as concentric power to the bit using a constant-velocity joint; the bearing assembly which protects the tool from off bottom and on bottom pressures; and the bottom sub which connects the mud motor to the bit.
When the bit is bottomed and the motor is effectively working, there is a notable increase in the pressure in the fluid system. This is caused by a restriction within the motor and is termed the "differential pressure". If this differential pressure is too high then the motor can stall which means the bit has stopped turning and this can cause severe damage to the internal surface of the stator.
A mud motor is described in terms of its number of stages (usually three), lobe ratio and external diameter. Stages are the number of full twists that the stator makes from one end to the other and the lobe ratio is the number of lobes on the stator, to the number of lobes on the rotor (the stator always has one more lobe than the rotor). A higher number of stages or the number of lobes indicates a more powerful motor, capable of producing more torque. A lower number of lobes indicates a reduction in the torque produced but a faster bit rotation speed.
The operating parameters include flow rate, bit rpm and torque. The relationship between the rotor and the stator geometry determines the rotational speed and torque. The rotational speed is proportional to the flow rate and torque is proportional to the pressure drop in the fluid as it flows through the motor. The more lobes the higher the torque and the slower the rpm.
The use of mud motors is greatly dependent on financial efficiency. In straight vertical holes, the mud motor may be used solely for increased rate of penetration (ROP), or to minimize erosion and wear on the drill string, since the drill string does not need to be turned as fast.
